Here's who I am & what I do

As a member of the Megabiota lab at NAU, I study how African forest elephants act as ecosystem engineers in the tropical forests of the Congo basin. Specifically, I am interested in how they impact the structure of the canopy through browsing and seed dispersal. I use lidar (light detection and ranging) to study these changes across large areas.
